I am a native quiteña who strives to uplift and showcase diversity in all its expressions through what comes naturally to me: the written word. The forest is my home, books are my temple, and storytelling is my passion. Travel writing allows me to combine my core interests and help travelers find their way as they plan the trip of a lifetime to the unique Andean region.

About Johanna

I have a degree in Communications with a concentration in Literature and have been writing, editing, and translating in English and Spanish for many different market segments since early 2013. I entered the world of Digital Marketing in the travel industry, where I have been a Content Writer since early 2020. I bask in writing about the great outdoors because my heart belongs in nature. This work is about showing travelers the joys of connecting with communities and invigorating local economies through tours of my country, Ecuador, and the rest of Latin America.

My writing on my homeland focuses on giving travelers insight into the wonders of Ecuador’s highlands and Amazon, and the sheer beauty of the Enchanted Isles. As a member of Rebecca’s soul-centered company, I share Latin America’s gems with globetrotters looking for authentic adventure that improves the livelihoods of local communities and preserves the environment.
