The guide, Cesar, welcomed us at the <a title=\"Baltra Airport\" href=\"https:\/\/ecogal.aero\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Baltra airport<\/strong><\/a><strong>,<\/strong> and, from there, it was a 5-minute bus journey to get to the harbor. Then, a 10-minute panga ride took us to one of the <strong>biggest ships<\/strong> of the archipelago: the <strong>Galapagos Legend<\/strong>. The food<\/strong>&nbsp;on board is simply amazing. Definitely, the<strong> local flavors<\/strong> will invade your mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, we visited <strong>Mosquera Island<\/strong>. There, you will find some <strong>sea lion<\/strong> colonies and <strong>sally lightfoot crabs<\/strong>. Certainly, <strong>Galapagos<\/strong> is worldwide known for its <strong>unique flora and <a href=\"https:\/\/rebeccaadventuretravel.com\/blog\/galapagos\/top-20-galapagos-animals\/\" rel=\"noopener\">fauna<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first night of <strong>sleeping on a boat<\/strong> is always a bit <strong>exciting<\/strong> because your body needs to get used to <strong>sea movements<\/strong>. However, the<strong> Galapagos Legend Cruise<\/strong> is so <strong>comfortable<\/strong> that you can sleep 8 hours in a row!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"day-2-santiago-island-puerto-egas-rabida\">Day 2: Santiago Island (Puerto Egas) &amp; Rabida<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin with full energy, at 07:00 AM, breakfast is served. Afterward, at 08:00 AM, we went off in direction of the <strong>Santiago Island<\/strong>. This is <strong>one of the biggest<\/strong>&nbsp;in the archipelago. The beach is black due to <strong>volcanic activity<\/strong>. Also, we visited <strong>Darwin\u2019s Arch, <\/strong>a natural rock arch feature located in the southeast of <strong>Darwin Island<\/strong>. The arch collapsed into the sea on 17 May 2021 from natural erosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup id=\"cite_ref-5\" class=\"reference\"><\/sup>In the afternoon we visited <strong>Rabida<\/strong> <strong>Island<\/strong>, a very special place due to its <strong>red beaches<\/strong>. Mainly, because of the iron, the color of the sand has evolved like this. The landscape is simply <strong>spectacular<\/strong>! At sunrise, almost all the passengers gathered on the deck to see if they could spot some <strong>whales<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>dolphins. <\/strong>Later that day, we went to <strong>Tagus Cove,<\/strong> where you can see <strong>graffitis<\/strong> done by passengers from the ships that passed before. The oldest one is from <strong>1834<\/strong>! There were some&nbsp;<strong>penguins<\/strong>&nbsp;too! At night, there were&nbsp;<strong>a lot of sharks<\/strong>&nbsp;swimming around the boat. This night the crew prepared a delicious&nbsp;<strong>sunset BBQ<\/strong>&nbsp;on the main deck and later that night there was a&nbsp;<strong>theater<\/strong> play in the main area performed by some of the passengers, very funny!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"day-4-isabela-island-punta-vicente-roca-fernandina-island\">Day 4: Isabela Island (Punta Vicente Roca) &amp; Fernandina Island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Iguanas everywhere! <strong>Fernandina Island<\/strong>, the youngest of all in the Galapagos Archipel, is famous for its numerous amount of <strong>marine iguanas<\/strong>. There, you will have the chance to snorkel in the bay and swim with hundreds of <strong>dolphins<\/strong>. Additionally, we also did an amazing <strong>snorkeling<\/strong>&nbsp;activity in&nbsp;<strong>Punta Vicente Roca<\/strong>. The amount of <strong>marine life<\/strong> you will get to see is incredible! At 06:00 AM we were on our way to<strong> Santa Cruz Island<\/strong> to visit <strong>Chato Ranch<\/strong>.
